Who are the SIMPLE PROjecters?

Take a group of fun-loving young people interested both in fellowship and spirituality, put them together in an environment of prayer, learning and fun and you have essentially created the profile of the SIMPLE PROject. To put it simply (or not), SIMPLE stands for St. Ignatius Missionaries of Prayer, Learning and Evangelisation. We hope to be just that with the help of our patron saint Blessed Miguel Pro (hence the PRO in PROject). We are a bunch of fairly ambitious young people, intent on starting a youth group where youths of the parish can learn to support each other spiritually and socially and where they can extend this network of support eventually to other youths.

We hope to achieve this noble mission through a series of monthly large group activities interspersed with smaller group activities. Larger group activities held once a month will range from talks and reflections to games and parties. The smaller groups will pray together and also to serve as individual organising committees. Fellowship and sharing will also constitute an essential part of the small journey group structure. We hope to foster a sense of community through the smaller journey groups while allowing for greater socialising and interaction through the larger big group setting. It is through this structure that we hope to attain the vision of our mission statement, which is “To build a community of youth growing in faith through prayer, learning and evangelisation."

You are welcome to join in any of our activities either as participant or part of the organising group. Being a youth in the parish does not mean being alone, it means to be part of a community which prays, shares and grows together.
