1. Christmas Musical 1999 - "The Big Deal" (Dec 1999)

The Christmas Musical is one of the very first activities undertaken by the SIMPLE PROject. Together with many youths, we managed to put up an entertaining an heartwarming show for the parishionerse

The story is surrounds about a rich, spoilt girl, a poor orphan, three "Ah Beng" kidnappers and three mildly sacrilegious angels... this musical had then all and more. The play starts off with the kidnappers planning their get-rich-quick scheme. The plan seems brilliant - to kidnap a rich girl and demand a ransom of a million dollars. Only they mess up (typically) and end up kidnapping a poor orphan as well. The two girls have to find a way to escape but they cannot stand each other and cannot even work together on a Christmas play, let alone devise an escape plan. Only a miracle can help them, so God sends his three (unwilling) angels to the rescue. The musical promises Bruce Lee style fighting scenes along with familiar Christmas carols. No doubt, it is a hilarious adventure that also urges you to think about the true meaning of Christmas, so sit back and enjoy because it truly is a big deal.
