9. Christmas Musical 2000 - "Me, Myself and My Script"

This Christmas, SIMPLE PROject takes on the musical once again. We come up with a mix of comedy and tragedy in this story of Christmas. Ironically, a big part goes to two uncompromising youth who insist on their scripts for their own Christmas Musical.

A Christmas musical, two good friends, two opposing views, an angel, a devil and a brain tumour. All these elements, plus a neurotic nurse and an unsympathetic doctor, come together in this year's Christmas musical (the Millenium Edition!)

Two good friends face off in a competition to get their scripts chosen for the all important musical with one script written as a tragedy and the other as a comedy. The clock is ticking fast and the church youth group must either reach a compromise between the two scripts or choose one over the other. Watch the hilarious duo of the angel and the devil fight it out in a battle of verbal wit and … urm … martial arts. What happens when one script is destroyed and somebody is diagnosed with a brain tumour? Will peace prevail or will the devil succeed in its bid to move the world into disharmony?

This musical promises to be both boisterously entertaining and thought provoking through the dramatisation of the traditional idea of the battle of good and evil within one's mind and a look at how ambition can destroy the spirit of Christmas, which is one of Love, Peace, Joy and Goodwill.
